4. Mobile Lab-in-a-Box Systems
Compact kits containing microscopes, centrifuges, and other basic lab tools are allowing clinicians in remote areas to perform blood work, screen for infections, and monitor chronic conditions on the spot.

 - Cost barriers: Even as prices fall, scaling access across entire health systems remains a financial challenge.

Portable medical devices are not a silver bullet, but they represent one of the most practical innovations for bridging the gap between urban hospitals and rural patients.
